Quick Start - Tuesday, April 14th
Who
Brand-new Barracuda swimmers only:
- Ages 4–6: Must pass a swim try-out to join the team (required for safety reasons).
- Ages 7 and older: Do not need to try out and automatically make the team.
What
Quick Start is an orientation for new Barracuda swimmers.
Swimmers will:
- Meet the coaches
- Meet other new team members
- Learn team cheers, terminology, and basic drills
Quick Start is not a try-out and not a swim lesson.
Swimmers will likely not get into the pool.
When
Tuesday, April 14th
Time: TBD
Note: Quick Start age groups may be divided differently than regular practice groups. Grouping depends on the number of swimmers registered.
Where
VOSH (Villages of Shady Hollow) Pool
What to Bring
In case swimmers are able to enter the water:
- Wear a swimsuit
- Bring a towel (two if the weather is cold)
Cost
$10 per child (paid with registration fees)
Please Note
Quick Start is designed to help brand-new swimmers feel prepared and confident before the season begins. It is an orientation only, not a lesson and not a try-out.
Swimmers should wear a swimsuit and bring a towel, but they may not enter the pool during this event.
