Parent Volunteers
We cannot run a successful meet (at home or away) without our fantastic parent volunteers. Every family must volunteer to do something to help make the season a success. Volunteer sign ups will be available at registration. Please note that at least one parent of a swimmer must volunteer for each meet (before or on the day of the meet) for the swimmer to qualify to swim in the specific meet. There are opportunities for parents with children of all ages. As in the past, we ask that you volunteer at regular season meets to be eligible to volunteer at Champs. Parent Volunteer Points
Each family is required to earn 16 points during the swim season.
Parent/Team Communications
The South Austin Area Barracudas volunteers and coaching staff will make the greatest effort to inform all parents and swimmers of any pertinent information. For ease of communication, all information will be sent to the email address used during registration. A working email address is required to complete registration. It is recommended that both parents have emails on file for communication and for volunteer sign ups for meets.
Each Barracudas swimmer will have a file folder in the team file boxes. The boxes will be brought to most practices by the parent coordinators. Theses boxes/folders offer an easy way to deliver ribbons and certain written communications regarding the swim team. Swimmers are responsible for checking their folder for notices or meet ribbons.
