About Us
The South Austin Area Barracudas are a recreational summer swim team and are members of The Capital City Summer League. Our home pool is located at 12006 Gatling Gun Ln, Austin, TX 78748.
Our goal is to have fun while learning correct swim techniques and the value of good sportsmanship and attitude. Our inaugural season was 2005 and we have approximately 300 swimmers each season. Practices are Monday-Thursday with meets on Saturday mornings at various local neighborhood pools.
We cannot run successful meets without our phenomenal parents! Parent participation and volunteerism is mandatory for a successful season and at least one parent of a swimmer must volunteer before or on the day of a meet for a swimmer to qualify to swim in a meet.
