It’s a busy week… I need the following things from you ASAP:

• Sign your kid(s) up for  CHAMPS (closes on Wednesday!!!!)
• Return your Fundraiser tickets!
• Mark your calendars for the end-of-season party – Tuesday, June 23, 2026, 5:30-8 pm

I'm glad to see some of you are still with me! We are hosting the Belterra Marlins this weekend at our home pool… last normal meet of the season! You don’t want to miss it! And it's your last chance to get qualifying times for CHAMPS.

Here's the downlow on the BOMB-Dot-Com-Meet with the Marlins - the theme for this meet is bring back the year 2000! Chillax bro… It's going to be a Crunk meet! Hope it doesn’t rain, because fo’ Shizzel that would be an epic fail!

Not sure about the parent-coach relay. It will depend on the number of swimmers and when the meet ends. If we do race, it will be a normal swim… let me know if you want to participate.

MEET TIMELINE

6:00am set up crew arrives

6:25am Zookeepers arrive

6:30am Swimmers arrive and check in

6:45 – 7:15am – Warm-ups for SAAB

7:15 – 7:45am – Warm-ups for the Marlins

7:30am – Volunteer Meetings 

7:50am – Call for Event #1 swimmers

7:55am – First heat on the blocks

7:58am – National Anthem

8:00am – Meet begins

VOLUNTEER MEETING LOCATIONS:

Timers – inside the Amenity Center (will include demo of wireless timing system)
Stroke & Turn Judges, Scribes, and Runners – near the baby pool
Ready Bench – under awning of Amenity Center
Heat Ribbons/Ribbons – near computers
Hospitality – at the Hospitality table, near the silo

PARKING: The Pool/Amenity Center parking lot will be closed for safety reasons and available only for handicapped parking. Main parking is available along the streets – specifically Gatling Gun Lane, Warwick, and Buckingham Gate. Parking is also available in the Baranoff School parking lot across Gatling Gun Lane.

ZOOS: Please bring a chair, snacks, and LOTS of drinks... SUMMER IS HERE! Don't forget to please label EVERYTHING! The lost-and-found pile is HUGE!

We are doing FLYOVER STARTS for all swimmers 11 and up.

SPECTATORS: You know the drill by NOW! Spectators are allowed to view from the pool deck from Baby pool side ONLY (Little Blue Rectangle seen in the picture). No parent spectators on the ready bench side of the pool unless you are a zookeeper. Please do not crowd the timers or cross over behind the starting swimmers. We need to keep the Amenities Center area clear for moving swimmers from the Ready Bench to the pool. Please no chairs on the deck, as they block the movement of swimmers and spectators. There is space around the outside of the pool fence on the east and west sides to view from as well.

PEOPLE TRAFFIC FLOW: blah-blah-blah... You know all this. The entrance for swimmers and Zookeeper volunteers is the gate at the north, parking lot/zoo side of the pool ONLY. Parents are not supposed to enter through the swimmer entrance; this is for youngsters only. To exit the pool area, use the east (street-facing) side of the walk-through gate. Please see the Pool Layout attached.

Concessions will be available at the Gazebo adjacent to the parking lot. We will have all the food you are used to having… we even serve LUNCH! … try not to have withdrawals this summer! I know there are a lot of kids who will be detoxing from cotton candy and honey buns once the season is over!

I can’t wait to see you at our last home meet! This season went by sooooo FAST!
