It’s my favorite meet of the season… my kids call it the “Frienemy Meet”! It’s going to be a neighborhood party! The theme is Heroes and Villains. Dress up as your favorite character! They probably see us as the villains… so let's show them how incredibly awesome we are!

Sign those swimmers up ASAP and don’t forget to volunteer!

Meet schedule:

6:00 am Check-In for Set Up crew
6:55 am Check-In for Zoo Keepers
7:00 am Check-In for Zoos (swimmers)
7:00- 7:25am Warm-ups Stingrays
7:25 – 7:50am Warm-ups for Barracudas
7:55am – First heat on the blocks 
7:57am – National Anthem
8:00am – Meet begins

Below are the Stingray pool details: Most of which is found on the Stingray Visiting Team info site.

ZOOS: The visitor zoo is located in the parking lot on the west side of the pool. Most of that area is shaded, but we will have our tents for the kids. Parent assistance will be needed to keep kids off the two diving boards, deep end, and baby pool and large rocks in the center of the Zoo area. Their pool does have 2 playgrounds around the pool area, but they ask for parent supervision and understanding that play is at their own risk. PLEASE TELL YOUR KIDS NOT TO LEAVE THE ZOO TO PLAY AT THE PARK. You can’t see the parks from the Zoos.

Volunteers: Volunteers for all shifts should report to the following locations at 7:30 am for orientation:

Timers: Meet under the tent near timers area. We will be using 3 timers per lane for 2 shifts of the meet.

Stroke and Turn Judges: Near computers; under the big tree

Ready Bench: At Ready Bench on east side of pool

Runners: Check in with the Stroke and Turn Head under the big tree

Ribbons: Table next to parent/spectator entry gate

Visitors zoo entrance

Swimmers, coaches and volunteers can enter using the back gate closest to the visitor zoo nearest the diving boards. Most spectators will use the primary entrance through the side Main entrance though.

Ready Benches

Stingrays have two ready benches. The ready bench closest to the visitor's zoo will be the same side where the timers will be set up and where the 50m events and relays will begin. The ready bench closer to the Stingray zoo is where the 25m events will begin.

Relays/Flyovers

We will also do flyover starts.

Please be sure to remind your swimmers that they need to move to the far side of the lane to get out of the way of the swimmer entering the water.

Spectators & Chairs

No outside chairs are allowed inside the pool area. The meet will be standing room only. Spectators are welcome to bring chairs and set them up outside the gate. We are asking all parents to leave the immediate area around the pool after watching their kids swim. It’s a hard pool to view from, so we need to allow others the viewing spots when their kids are swimming. Don’t be a viewing villain!

Concessions

The food is located just outside the pool. Breakfast and lunch will be served throughout the meet. They are trying to get the Tom’s Coffee truck but we all know how reliable Tom’s Coffee is these days! Maybe come with a little caffeine in your utility belt… just in case!
