Hays & Travis Country Sharks vs. SAAB @ VOSH pool

Wassup Cudas! I hope you guys are psyched because SAAB is swimming against Hays and the Sharks at our home crib. We look forward to kickin’ it with our friendly neighborhood homies Saturday morning.

Here’s the 4-1-1, the theme for this meet is bring back the 90’s! Oh snap… It's going to be a hella good meet!

MEET TIMELINE

5:45- Set up crew

6:25 - Zoo Keeper Check in

6:35- SWIMMERS Check in- check your pagers and don’t be late!

6:45 – 7:15am – Warm-ups

7:15 – 7:45am – Warm-ups for Hays & Sharks

7:30am – Volunteer Meetings (see Volunteer Locations and Pool Layout below)

7:50am – Call for Event #1 swimmers – verbal

7:55am – First heat on the blocks

7:58am – National Anthem

8:00am – Meet begins

VOLUNTEER MEETING LOCATIONS (don’t be trippin’ and miss these meetings):

Timers – inside the Amenity Center Barn (will include demo of wireless timing system)

Stroke & Turn Judges, Scribes, and Runners – near the baby pool horse trough

Ready Bench – under awning of Amenity Center Bar, near the large watering hole

Heat Ribbons/Ribbons – near computers

Hospitality – at the Hospitality table, near the grain Silo

PARKING: The Pool/Amenity Center parking lot will be closed for safety reasons and available only for handicapped parking. Main parking is available along the streets – specifically Gatling Gun Lane, Warwick, and Buckingham Gate. Parking is also available in the Baranoff School parking lot across Gatling Gun Lane.

ZOOS: Please bring a chair, snacks, and LOTS of drinks... It's going to be a hot one! Also, bring bug spray because we have been seeing more mosquitoes. Don't forget to please label EVERYTHING!

We will also be doing FLYOVER STARTS for all swimmers 11 and up.

SPECTATORS: Spectators are allowed to view from the pool deck from Baby pool side ONLY (Little Blue Rectangle seen in the picture). No parent spectators on the ready bench side of the pool unless you are a zookeeper. Please do not crowd the timers or cross over behind the starting swimmers. We need to keep the Amenities Center area clear for moving swimmers from the Ready Bench to the pool. Please no chairs on the deck, as they block the movement of swimmers and spectators. There is space around the outside of the pool fence on the east and west sides to view from as well.

PEOPLE TRAFFIC FLOW: The entrance for swimmers and Zookeeper volunteers is the gate at the north, parking lot/zoo side of the pool ONLY. Parents are not supposed to enter through the swimmer entrance; this is for youngsters only. To exit the pool area, use the east (street-facing) side of the walk-through gate. Please see the Pool Layout attached.

Concessions will be available at the Gazebo adjacent to the parking lot. We will have coffee, breakfast tacos, other refreshments, and lunch concessions, including slammin’ BBQ pork sliders.

Don't forget your 90’s bling bling and spiffy fresh fly outfits!
