The 1st session is scheduled from 8am-1:25p for the 10 and under swimmers with the second session starting at 2:30-8 pm for the 11 and up swimmers. These are estimates but please be available for your entire shift if you have volunteered.

Parents cannot walk across the pool deck – you must walk around the building to get to the other side.

Zoos will be located on one side of the pool area, and parents/spectators will be located on the other side of the pool. Only BADGED zookeepers and swimmers will be allowed in the zoo areas. If you want to be on the side of the swimmers/your kids, you MUST BE A ZOOKEEPER! Parents are not able to stay in the Zoos during the meet unless they are a zookeeper. There are over 1,000 kids swimming, and there is not enough room for parents and swimmers together.

If your kid needs you close… sign up as a zookeeper, even for another age group, because you will all be waiting in the same area and can assist your child if needed.

Swimmers should come with LOTS of water, Gatorade-like drink options, sunscreen, and activities to help pass the time between heats. (The pool is completely covered) Swimmers can be dropped off at the front of the pool area in front of the zoos, allowing you to find parking and not feel rushed.

The pool Deck has limited space. We ask that you enter the pool deck when your swimmer is competing and then return to the spectator lot after each event. No one is allowed to remain on the pool deck, which allows all parents to see their swimmer due to the limited space.

There is NO air conditioning at the facility. If you have problems with the heat we recommend you stay home and watch the live stream that will be available at http://www.twitch.tv/saabswim. It’s free to watch and Twitch has an app that can be downloaded onto your phone- our channel is: saabswim.

If you find yourself overheating, please hydrate as much as possible and keep in mind most vehicles have AC. Local EMS are aware of the meet and available within minutes. Please hydrate, hydrate, hydrate and bring lots of drinks and Gatorades for you and your swimmer!

Food Trucks will be providing concessions for this event—they will be in the front parking lot. We recommend bringing snacks and lunch. Keep in mind that this is a large event, and the food truck line might be long.

Parking: Cedar Ridge High School is near the pool area and provides lots of parking options. Bring your wagons—you will be getting your steps in!

Please review the parking visual attached- you are welcome to drop off your swimmer at the big metal gates in front of the zoos (left side of the building when looking at it). Please have your swimmer wear Barracuda purple to allow for easy identification to the correct zoo. Parents are not allowed in zoos unless they are zookeepers. If you would like to accompany your child to the zoo, please settle them and exit the same way you entered. Please do not cross through the pool deck.

All volunteers will need to check in at the front entrance – please do not overcrowd the hallway, it is a very small space. Once you check in, please exit the way you entered. Please always have your ID badge/sticker on you if you are volunteering.

Spectators are allowed to set up their personal tents on the other side of the pool, opposite the zoos. Parents/spectators will be located on a large grassy open field - please reference picture attached for more details. There is no shade and you are not allowed to stay inside the building - NO CHAIRS ON THE POOLDECK- parent shade tents are highly recommended. Once your child has completed their heat, we ask that you return to the grassy spectator area.

Don’t forget to bring that cooler full of LOTS of ice and drinks, it’s going to be a hot one.
