MEET INFORMATION FOR Circle-C Seals at Barracuda SAAB Pool

The South Austin Area Barracudas are so excited to welcome the Circle -C Seals to our home pool in the Villages of Shady Hollow at 12006 Gatling Gun Lane.

The theme for this swim meet is Rock'n Good Time—come dressed as your favorite Swift-Era or rock-n-roll band! Shout out to all our Swifties!

Don't forget to sign up your swimmer - it's their last chance to swim before CHAMPS!

MEET TIMELINE

5:45- Set up crew

6:35- Zoo Check in

6:45 – 7:15am – Warm-ups for SAAB

7:15 – 7:45am – Warm-ups for Seals

7:30am – Volunteer check-in and meetings (see Volunteer Locations and Pool Layout below)

7:50am – Call for Event #1 swimmers – verbal

7:55am – First heat on the blocks

7:58am – National Anthem

8:00am – Meet begins

VOLUNTEER MEETING LOCATIONS:

Timers – inside the Amenity Center (will include demo of wireless timing system)

Stroke & Turn Judges, Scribes, and Runners – near the baby pool

Ready Bench – under the awning of Amenity Center, near pool

Heat Ribbons/Ribbons – near computers (pool deck)

Hospitality – at the Hospitality table, near the Silo

PARKING: The Pool/Amenity Center parking lot will be closed for safety reasons and available only for handicapped parking. Main parking is available along the streets – specifically Gatling Gun Lane, Warwick, and Buckingham Gate. Parking also is available in the Baranoff Elementary lot across Gatling Gun Lane.

ZOOS: Please bring a chair, snacks, and LOTS of drinks for your swimmers... its going to be a long toasty day! Also, bring sun screen and bug spay because we have been seeing more mosquitos. Please write your child's last name and events BEFORE applying sunscreen. Don't forget to please label EVERYTHING!

As Always, we will be doing FLYOVER STARTS for all swimmers 11 and up.

SPECTATORS: Spectators are allowed to view from the pool deck from Baby pool side ONLY (Little Blue Rectangle seen in the picture). Please do not stand behind the timers or cross over behind the starting swimmers. We need to keep the Amenities Center cleared for moving swimmers from the Ready Bench to pool. Please no chairs on the deck as they end up blocking the movement of swimmers and spectators. There is space around the outside of the pool fence on the east and west sides to view from as well.

PEOPLE TRAFFIC FLOW: The Entrance for swimmers and volunteers is the gate at the north (parking lot-facing) side of the pool ONLY. Parents/spectators are not supposed to enter through the swimmer entrance. To Exit the pool area use the east (street-facing) side at the walk-through gate. Please see the Pool Layout below. Swimmers and badged volunteers only through the parking lot gate.

CONCESSIONS: Concessions will be available at the Gazebo adjacent to the parking lot (north of the pool). We will have coffee, breakfast taco, other refreshments, and lunch concessions.
